Friendly reminder: Citilink has announced that there will be free fares on all bus routes on Election Day, which is Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
Thanks to a sponsorship with AARP Indiana, Citilink will continue its tradition of giving back to the Greater Fort Wayne area by offering free bus fares on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5. This initiative aims to promote civic participation by improving access to public transportation.
Emily Gorman, Associate State Director of Advocacy & Outreach at AARP Indiana, mentioned that this event is aimed at ensuring all citizens can vote without transportation barriers.
“Voting is a fundamental right that strengthens our democracy and enriches our communities,” said Gorman. “Our partnership with Citilink aims to make it easier for voters to fulfill their civic duty by providing free transportation to and from the polls.”
Those using Citilink ACCESS services must schedule their rides in advance by using the Citilink Access app or by calling 260-432-4546 no later than 5 p.m. the day before.
